The body is amazing; no matter what we do to it, it tries to maintain inner health; it is always detoxifying itself. Eventually though, it loses some of its ability if it is overloaded with more stressors (physical, nutritional, emotional etc) than we can reasonably process. Symptoms of this overload can include gastrointestinal irritability, excess weight, inflammation, low energy, frequents colds, brain-fog, insomnia and/or food cravings among others. There are many strategies to assist us in detoxing; some good, some worthless, and some downright harmful. I believe the best plan is to nourish the internal environment so the detoxification process can once again happen naturally. ~Diane
